An empty space, a group of people are already there, the audience enters the room.
A new constellation are created, where dancers and audience meet on equal terms..
Relationships and trust are created and new structures will be build. Both audiences and dancers receive verbal instructions from a recorded voice, but who is actually in charge?
A group is defined by the space they are in and constituted by the choreography, how are we influenced by a group’s behavior and how does the group influence the individual experience? DO AS I SAY is an interactive work that wants to make our social behavior visible on issues of bullying and authority.
The target group of the performance are 13-18 years old, in that period of life, youth are subject to a great deal of social pressure from school, family, friends and society. In this performance we want the audience to become aware of how easily one can be influenced by a group to a desired or perhaps undesirable behavior…
