DANCING WITH THE DEAD

Step into a world beyond ours, where imagination and creativity take the lead and venture into the unknown…

DANCING WITH THE DEAD is a bold dance performance that explores the mystery of death and the depths of sorrow. Through vibrant costumes, magnificent music, and expressive choreography, an experience is crafted that sweeps the audience on an emotional journey. A journey where the silence surrounding death is shattered and the courage to confront death transforms spectators into active participants. DANCING WITH THE DEAD is a compelling experience that transcends traditional performing arts and embodies the power of art to transform and understand our human existence.

Kirsten Dahl, Teateravisen: Death approaches. In fact, it creeps – if one is open to it – completely under the audience’s skin and into the workshop of the mind. Tactile, kinesthetic, sensory, vulnerable, strong, light and heavy at the same time, both ‘effective’ and considerate, wise and emotional, bright and dark. The performance, with its open discussion of death and direct audience participation, might feel boundary-pushing for some. Yet the artistic precision of its expression and its sensitive interaction with the audience make it undoubtedly enriching for children aged 10 and up.”

Audience impression: I think Dancing with the Dead was an incredible experience. I absolutely loved how they included the audience in the dance and got them to join in. I also appreciated how the performance ended with hope and the opportunity to talk about death afterwards. It was a truly great performance.

Student: “I think Dancing with the Dead was a really great performance. It had a powerful message, and the way that message was conveyed made me want to tell my family about it. I loved how the audience was incorporated, especially when we were asked to place flowers on one of the dancers.”
